Our holiday complex is very centrally located on the north coast of Sicily, in the immediate vicinity of the Norman town of Cefalù. Palermo, Monreale, Madonie and also the Aeolian Islands invite you to embark on some very easy to do excursions and day trips.

Cefalù

If you don’t want to miss out on beaches or mountains during your holiday in Sicily, you should simply set up your “base camp” in Cefalù. Cefalù’s beach is one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in northern Sicily. The mountains are part of the huge Madonie

Monreale

The small town of Monreale is set on a rocky promontory above Palermo, and one single building is the destination of thousands of visitors every year: the Duomo, which is completely decorated with mosaics and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015.

Mondello

The fishing village, also known as “la piazza”, awaits those seeking refreshments, with its cafés and restaurants by the sea or seafood to take away and enjoy in the “St. Tropez” of Sicily.

Catania

Catania is the second largest metropolis in Sicily. Over the centuries it has been exposed to earthquakes and volcanic eruptions and has undergone alternating reigns and urban transformations. Still, Catania seems to be livelier and livelier than ever!

MOUNT Etna

Not far from the Strait of Messina is Mount Etna. It is still active and is the highest in Europe, as well as one of the highest in the world. It has also been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since June 2013.

Messina

At Sicily’s easternmost tip lies Messina, the city which is kicked first by the Italian boot. Trade, a large natural harbour and university life make this an exciting city and is well worth a visit.

Syracuse

Once one of the most important cities of ancient Greece, Syracuse is now a lively city on the southeast coast of Sicily. The city is littered with outstanding evidence of its long history. Romans, Vandals and Normans are just a few of the many who ruled the city after the Greeks.

Aeolian Islands

Palermo

Palermo, the capital of the island, embodies all the artistic, historical and cultural riches of the civilisations that have passed through it: Greek, Punic, Roman, Arabic, Norman and Swabian.

Santo Stefano di Camastra

Anyone who loves ceramics must have visited Stefano di Camastra. Wall tiles, floor tiles, crockery and the famous ceramic pines make the heart beat faster. We recommend buying directly from the manufacturers: Fratantoni Ceramiche (factory is located on an industrial estate) or Ceramiche Desuir deliver excellent quality.

Castelbuono

Set in the middle of the Madonie mountains lies the town of Castelbuono, which, with its castle clinging to the side of the hill, looks like a relic from a time gone by. “Manna” is obtained from the many lush ash trees here, the sweetish tree resin that emerges from incisions in the bark of the trees and solidifies in the sun.

Madonie

The Madonie is a mountain range almost exactly in the middle of the north coast of Sicily. As the “Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie”, the mountain roads there served as the venue for the “Targa Florio” motor race from 1906 to 1977.
